BLASTED SOUL
By Tim Mendees
Cosmic Horror (204 pages)
Available in 5×8 paperback and ebook formats.
Kirsten thought she had escaped Hollowhills and its malign influence, but events conspired to bring her back just as things begin to spiral out of control once again. Still mourning those lost in the Conley and Johnson tragedies, she struggles to adapt to being back in a place that holds such terrible memories. Things go from bad to terrible when an incident at the mine sets a series of events into motion that will soon eclipse the nightmares she had experienced in the past.
It is said that there are places in the world where the walls between realities are thin, and one of those barriers has crumbled. Madness and mayhem soon follow as something ancient and other-worldly stirs in the black gulfs below Bodmin Moor.
Blasted Soul is a cosmic horror novella published by Mannison Press and the third book in The Hollowhills Cycle.

About the Author
Tim Mendees is a rather odd chap. He’s a horror writer from Macclesfield in the North-West of England who specialises in cosmic horror and weird fiction. A lifelong fan of classic weird tales, Tim set out to bring the pulp horror of yesteryear into the 21st Century and give it a distinctly British flavour. His work has been described as the love-child of H.P. Lovecraft and P.G. Wodehouse and is often peppered with a wry sense of humour that acts as a counterpoint to the disturbing narratives.
Tim has appeared in more anthologies and magazines than he can count as well as releasing two short story collections and nine novellas, one of which, Miracle Growth, was shortlisted for the 2023 BFS’ August Derleth Award for best horror. He has also curated and edited several cosmic horror-themed anthologies.
When he is not arguing with the spellchecker, Tim is the lead vocalist in gothic rock band Grooving n Green, a DJ with a weekly radio show, and one of the co-founders of The Innsmouth Literary Festival. He is also the co-presenter of “The Innsmouth Book Club Podcast,” “The Monster in My Bed,” and “Strange Shadows: The Clark Ashton Smith Podcast.” He currently lives in Brighton & Hove with his pet crab, Gerald, and an ever-increasing army of stuffed octopods.
